My Review: What a rush! Stephanie Plum is back as a bounty hunter and is hot on the trail of a stack of FTAs. If you’ve missed my previous reviews, FTA means failure to appear and in this instance, after they’ve been bonded out of jail by Vinnie. Vinnie owns the bail bond agency and is Stephanie’s perverted cousin. (There’s rumors of him and barnyard animals… I don’t want the details.)

Between Stephanie and Lula, there’s always excitement. They find themselves buying dildos and sexy DVDs in the attempt to catch an FTA but end up looking into the end of a sawed-off shotgun. After a few tries they finally nab their woman, but poor Tank, Ranger’s right hand man, takes one to the groin. The comedy is great!

Someone close to Ranger is kidnapped and him, Stephanie and Morelli are on the case. Once again, Stephanie is being sought after by a bad guy and Morelli and Ranger have to keep her safe and try to get the other young victim back. Gun shots fire and one of the three goes down. Blood, emergency room, surgery… so much action packed into this Janet Evanovich novel.

Narrator Review: Lorelei King is great! And she’s my favorite, enough said! I do want to add that the emotion she puts into Stephanie always amazes me. Towards the end of the novel, she’s very emotional and it almost brought a tear to my eye. She’s worried and terrified over who’s going to walk through the door… who’s going to get shot… who’s going to live. Great, great job!
