My Review: Plum Lucky is another Stephanie Plum Between the Numbers novel by Janet Evanovich. As you’ve probably guessed, we have a suspicious little leprechaun in this audiobook!

Things are almost normal on St. Patrick’s day for Stephanie and the crew but they go nuts really fast. Anytime Diesel shows up, craziness ensues. Diesel is always chasing after an “unmentionable” and ropes Stephanie in for help. But this time, she’s already involved.

Grandma Mazur finds a ton of money on her walk home and heads to Atlantic City to “get lucky”. She manages to blow through a bunch of cash before Stephanie, Lula and Connie round her up at a slot machine.

For Stephanie, things go from bad to worse when Grandma Mazur is kidnapped by a local mobster. She has to get grandma back, catch the “unmentionable” so-called leprechaun and hold her mother at bay as to why Grandma’s not home. Stephanie’s hands are full in this fast moving novel.

Keep in mind with the Between the Numbers novels that these are lighthearted, not so intense tales. Stephanie doesn’t do any real bounty hunting and her hotties, Joe Morelli and Ranger are usually barely mentioned. That’s the sad part, I love those characters.

All in all a great, quick listen. Lots of chuckles and of course, exploding cars!

Narrator Review: Lorelei King’s interpretation of the toad-like mobster was hilarious! She really made him sound like an older man who smoked a pack a day… I could totally envision a chubby, little fella with “little man’s syndrome” trying to rule the world. So funny! Another wonderful job by King. I’ve said it before, and here we go again, I love the image she paints of Stephanie. It’s so real, so alive for me! Great narration.
