My Review: Yikes! Another Quirky Audio Book is the second book by Adele Park that is packed full of strange and hilarious characters. This audiobook is set in Navel, Utah and revolves around the lives of Blue and Moon McKenna. They may be twins, but they’re definitely different.
The great thing about Park’s audiobooks is the huge cast of characters. Each character is so different but they find a way to mingle together in her writing. Blue and Moon are twin sisters who lost their parents in a tragic accident. They’ve each moved on in their own ways, but I won’t go as far to say they’re the right ways.
Blue grows an unbelievable amount of delicious marijuana to feed her habit and tries to mind her business as she continues to write her novel. Moon on the other hand seems to look for attention in all the wrong places. The pair meet an array of folks along the way that make this audiobook fantastic.
Park’s writing is top-notch and is even better than her first audiobook, Jitters. I loved this one, hope you do too!
Narrator Review: Since I’ve listened to a few audiobooks with a full cast of narrators now, I have to say that I love them. The narrators of Yikes! are great! I love the accents, voices and energy they throw into their roles and that adds so much to this complete package. Well done y’all.
Disclosure: I received a copy of this audiobook from the publisher. All opinions expressed are mine and mine alone. I only recommend books I think others would truly enjoy.
